Kindred at Home Hope, AR Receives CMS 4.5-Star Rating for Quality of Patient Care

Hope, AR (January 31, 2020) – Kindred at Home Hope, AR is pleased to announce it has earned a 4.5 Star rating for quality of patient care from the national Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The quality of patient care rating is based on OASIS assessments and Medicare claims data that measure eight key processes or outcomes related to patient care. The results are available on Home Health Compare, CMS’s public information website that provides information on how well Medicare-certified agencies provide care to their patients. Agencies are rated periodically – from one to five stars – with top performers earning the coveted 5-star rating.

“We are honored to be recognized as a top performer for the quality of our patient care,” said Eric Osburn, Executive Director of Hope, AR. “This rating underscores our commitment to providing the highest care to our patients each and every day. Our caregivers feel privileged to be welcomed into our patients’ homes and they strive each day to provide the best care and service possible. We know that our care matters, and it’s very gratifying to be rated among the very best providers by CMS.”

The Home Health Compare site allows users to select multiple agencies at a time to assess home health agencies’ performance on the eight quality measures as well as a separate measure based upon patient survey results. The quality measures include: timely initiation of care; drug education on all medications provided to patient/caregiver, improvement in ambulation, improvement in bed transferring, improvement in bathing, improvement in pain interfering with activity, improvement in shortness of breath, and reduced acute care hospitalization.

Kindred at Home Hope, AR has served the region for more than 4 years, delivering compassionate, high-quality in-home care to patients with services that include skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, disease management education, help with daily living activities as well as other therapies and services.
