The Lady Cats would start the game off with a bang, as Tanasia Young cleared the bases with a 3-run double to give Hope the early 3-0 lead. The Lady Cardinals would chip away and the score would be tied 4-4 going into the 6th inning. Grace Trauger escaped a jam in the top of the 6th inning and pitched a perfect 7th inning to set the Lady Cats up for a chance in the bottom of the 7th. 

Payton Rhodes pitched 5+ innings for the Lady Cats, scattering 4 runs on 5 hits and striking out 3 batters. Grace Trauger would come in the sixth inning and finish the game to earn the win and scatter 1 hit and strike out 3. With the win the Lady Cats start Conference Play 1-0 and they head to Ashdown on Wednesday for another conference game.
