Lady Cats Drop Game to Tough Scrapperettes Squad
Hope- The Lady Cats hosted Nashville on Monday night in a district matchup. Grace Trauger got the start in the pitchers circle on for the Lady Cats, as she faced off against Nancy Worthington of Nashville. The Scrapperettes broke the game open in the 4th inning, as they scored 4 runs in the top of the inning to extend their lead to 8-0, enroute to a Nashville 10-1 win over Hope. Payton Rhodes would knock the lone run for the Lady Cats, as she scored Mycah Bradley. Grace Trauger would strike out 2 Scrapperettes on Monday night in the pitchers circle. The Lady Cats made some good defensive plays, including turning a double-play, as Ava Brown caught a line drive at shortstop and doubled off the runner at first base. Mycah Bradley had a great day at the plate, as she had a single, drew a walk, and scored a run. Payton Rhodes had the lone RBI for the Lady Cats, and Ava Brown added a single. 

 

The Lady Cats are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Texarkana to take on Trinity Christian. Hope is also set to host Ashdown on Wednesday as well.
