Lady Cats Fall in State Tournament to Shiloh Christian
Bauxite- For the second consecutive season, the Lady Cats soccer squad has advanced to the State Tournament. They drew the 1-seed Lady Saints from Shiloh Christian, in a game many predicted to be a blow out. Hope would come out and prove everyone wrong, as they played lights out in the opening half, and Shiloh Christian would take advantage of one mistake to take a 1-0 lead into the half, as Angelica Soto and the defense of Brency Cabriales, Cristal Aguilar, Jacqueline Reyna, Yudit Dominguez, Angelina Soto, Esme Leon, and Miracle Martinez were great.

The Lady Cats continued to fight, but had a tough time creating many opportunities against their opponent. Shiloh Christian would score a goal from 20+ yards out, for probably the best goal I've witnessed this season, so hats off to her. Shiloh would add a couple goals late to win 4-0 and end the Lady Cats remarkable season. The Hope attack of Miracle Martinez, Audrey Mercado, Brianna Maclaughlin, Paola Dominguez, Cristal Ortiz, and Ari Juanes all played hard and put some pressure on the Shiloh Christian defense.

Seniors Audrey Mercado, Brency Cabriales, Jacqueline Reyna, and Miracle Martinez played their last games as Lady Cats on Thursday, but what they accomplished this season and the example to younger players on their team will stay with their younger teammates the rest of their tenure in the Hope Soccer Program.

Coach Josh Marshall and Coach Edmundo Dominguez had nothing but praise for this group and they too will miss this special group of seniors. This group of seniors, along with a very talented group of seniors last year have set a new standard for the Lady Cats program, which is to continuously make trips to the State Tournament.

Great Season to the Lady Cats!!!
