Lady Dragons Drop Close Game in Season Opener vs Glen Rose
Glen Rose- The Genoa Central Lady Dragons began their season on the road in a non-conference matchup against the Lady Beavers. The game was close all the way through all four quarters, as Genoa had a lead late in the game, but a couple of big buckets gave Glen Rose the lead late for the win. Coach Kidd had this to say about the game, "The girls played hard all game, some things we have to clean up, but a lot of positives to build off of tonight."

Ali Pierce led the Lady Dragons in scoring with 9 points. Pierce also added 4 rebounds. Kelsie Fowler had 5 points and 7 rebounds and Riley Fike added 5 points and 4 boards. Jessyca Thompson had 4 steals, as she played great defensively.

The Jr. Lady Dragons were dominant in their 29-11 win, as the defense was phenomenal forcing 23 turnovers, as the defensive pressure proved to be too much for Glen Rose. Piper McMurry led the way with 12 points and Asia Hankins added 8 points. In the 7th grade game, the Lady Dragons won their game 10-2 in the first game of the night.

The Lady Dragons are back in action on Friday as they host Liberty-Eylau for their home-opener.
