Lady Jays Drop Hard-Fought Game to Lady Bears
Nevada- The Lady Jays hosted the Lady Bears on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup. The game was a back and forth one, as the Jays were within a possession or two for the entire game. A late 3-pointer from Bradley extended the Bears lead to 7, and the Lady Jays fell short of making up the deficit, falling to the Lady Bears 39-34. Coach Eddie Beck spoke after the game, "We fought hard tonight, had some good opportunities, just struggled at times to finish off defensive possessions allowing Bradley to get offensive rebounds, but good effort and we will continue to get better as the season goes."

Jordin Haley posted a double-double, with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Haley finished the game strong, attacking the basket and getting to the line. Zette Brown had a great night rebounding with 11 boards, as well as scoring 4 points. Yasmine Harris had 4 points and played really good on ball defense, while Zyirannah Vines and Karleigh Carlton each had 3 points.

The Lady Jays are back in action on Thursday as they head to GMCS for a game with the Lady Saints.
