Lady Saints Beat New Life 58-54
Little Rock- The Garrett Memorial Christian School Lady Saints were back in action on Tuesday night as they traveled to New Life for a tune-up game for their regional tourney beginning Thursday in Hot Springs. The Lady Saints would come away with a 58-54 win, as they played very well on the road, and seem to be clicking as a group at the perfect time. Laikyn Mitchell and Gracy Martin each torched the nets for 23 points apiece to pace the scoring for the Lady Saints. Laikyn Mitchell scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Gracy Martin caught fire after halftime, as she scored 21 points in the second-half of the game, Martin also added 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Mikayla Fields scored 10 points, had 9 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Charity Zumwalt added 2 points and 4 assists. GMCS is back in action on Thursday in the first-round of the regional tourney in Hot Springs, if they win they advance to the Regional Finals and clinch a spot in the State Tournament next week.
