Lady Saints Drop Tough Game to ACA 50-38
Hope- The Lady Saints would welcome Arkansas Christian Academy on Friday night for a three-game slate. GMCS got off to a slow start offensively as they trailed ACA early on and a couple of Lady Saints would get in foul trouble, but the Lady Saints would fight back and get the game down to five points right before the half.

ACA would hit a 3-pointer before the half to give ACA an eight-point lead at the half. The game was more back and forth in the second half, as the Lady Saints never could get a big run going and the Lady Saints would fall 50-38 in a low scoring game.

Laikyn Mitchell would lead GMCS in scoring with 16 points. She would also grab 6 rebounds, and dish out 3 assists. Mikayla Fields would finish the game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Silbi Jones would have a great game as she posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds The Lady Saints are back in action next Friday as they travel to Westside.

The Junior Lady Saints had a really tough game on Friday night as they struggled early to get some baskets early on. The Junior Saints would fight hard, but would drop the game 37-17 to a very good ACA team. Preslee Peck would lead GMCS with 6 points and 6 rebounds. Brailyn Almand would score 4 points and grab 3 rebounds, Abby Mendoza would score 2 points, grab 5 rebounds, and swipe 4 steals. Kynlee Glass would knock down 2 free throws and grab 6 rebounds. Laila Santifer and Heaven Garcia would play great defense on Friday night, as they held the ACA Junior team to one of their lower point totals on the season. The Jr. Lady Saints are set for their State Tournament beginning next Tuesday. A State tourney preview article will be posted on Sunday for the Jr. Lady Saints.

The Junior Boys made sure ACA would not get away with a win this time, as they avenged their buzzer beating loss to ACA early in the year with a 39-33 Saints win. The Saints jumped out to an early 12-0 lead as they came out on a mission.

Hooks Brown scored a game-high 20 points on Friday night, Brown would also grab 8 rebounds, dish out 3 assists, and have 2 blocks. Kason Flowers and Ben Martin would each score 6 points and grab 6 rebounds. Brandy Edwards scored 3 points and had 5 assists and 5 steals. Jason Stockton had 3 points, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. The Junior Boys have been playing very well as of late as they look to finish their season on a good run.
