The Leadership Nevada County Board of Directors met today for their annual meeting and to elect new board members. After a review of the previous meeting's minutes and last year's financials, board members reviewed the ballot and opened the floor for new nominations. Current board members Ivory Curry, Julie Oliver, Pam Box, Theresa Tyree, and Judy Duke were unopposed and therefore re-elected as board members for the next term. 

To fill the one year vacancy of previous member Chris Hopper, four names were listed on the ballot, and after the votes were taken and counted, Larry Jones was announced as the newest board member for Leadership Nevada County. 

Also up for re-election were the roles for President and Vice-President. There were no new nominations so President Ivory Curry and Vice President Faith Beavert were re-elected in those positions. 

In other business, board members discussed updating the mode of transportation for the Leadership class, as well as ways to raise funds to cover the rising costs of food, transportation, and other necessities. Those issues will be addressed again at the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
