Local Business Policy Changes, Closings Due to COVID-19
Due to increased concerns of COVID-19, several businesses are being proactive and taking precautions to keep our community healthy and safe. Along with frequent sanitizing and hand washing to protect their customers and employees, some businesses have implemented “curbside service” options, as well as the availability to do business by phone or email.

Below you will find a list of businesses that have implemented policy changes at their location. We will keep this updated as more information becomes available to us.

Grocery Stores
Hope Wal-Mart: Effective March 19, Wal-Mart will change their hours until further notice to allow them to clean the store and stock product. The Automotive Department has been CLOSED until further notice
Store hours-7:00 am-8:30 pm
Grocery Pickup-11:00 am - 7:00pm
TUESDAY - Senior Citizens only may shop between 6:00 am - 7:00 am

Super One Foods: Effective March 18, Super One Foods will change their hours until further notice to allow them to clean the store and stock product.

City Hall - Operating normal hours at this time.

City of Hope Public Works - Effective March 18, the City of Hope Pubic Works building located at 1603 W 3rd street will be closed to the public until further notice. City services will still be provided. If you have any needs or concerns, please call 870-777-8644

Hempstead County Courthouse - Effective March 18, the Hempstead County Courthouse has been closed to the public and will operate by appointment only. You may call the office you need to discuss an appointment time. For phone numberes and more information, click here

Hope Police Department - Effective March 18, the Hope Police Department has been closed to the public with the exception of approved visits. Hope Water & Light - Hope Water & Light is monitoring the situation and, as conditions change, will adjust procedures. Currently, their doors are open and customers are allowed to enter the building. As information gets updated for customers and the community, decisions will be made on day to day operations and policies. 

Insurance Providers
Farm Bureau: Effective March 16, Hempstead County Farm Bureau will close the doors to thru traffic. Staff will continue to work normal business hours and serve customers through a drop box and intercom system outside the office door. Farmers Insurance-Rodney Orr: Effective March 17, Farmers Insurance, Rodney Orr will close the doors to thru traffic. Staff will continue to work normal business hours and serve customers through the drive thru at their location on 601 South Main. You may also call 870-722-5373, or do business through email or social media.

Heather Doucet State Farm Insurance - Effective March 19, Heather Doucet State Farm Insurance offices ask that their customers try to do as much business as possible without coming to the office. You may make payments over the phone via debit, credit or check. If paying with cash, please have the exact change or a money order. 870-777-6198

Banks
Diamond Bank: Effective March 20, Diamond Bank has closed their lobby to the public. Please conduct business by phone, email or drive thru.

Farmers Bank & Trust: Effective March 18, Farmers Bank & Trust Bank lobbies will be available only by appointment for transactions that cannot occur by drive-thru, phone, or online except for the Texarkana St. Michael Drive lending offices, which will remain open. Access for customer safe deposit boxes will be available by appointment at any branch. We ask customers to call 855-855-3268 to schedule a time for a visit. The First National Bank of Tom Bean: Effective March 18, The First National Bank of Tom Bean has closed their lobby to the public. Customers may use the drive thru, online & mobile banking, mobile deposit capture or the ATM network. Loan applications may be emailed. Hempstead County Library
The Hempstead County Library will be closed to the public March 16 - March 20. Staff will continue to work answering phones, email and will offer curbside service to patrons. You may call 870-777-4564, email [email protected] or request items through the Librista app or website www. hempcolib.org and staff will bring items to your car.

Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce
Effective March 17, the Hope Chamber of Commerce will close the doors to the public until further notice. All Chamber Coffees, Ribbon Cuttings, Chamber Banquet and any other community events have been cancelled until further notice. If you would like to pick up your auction item, please pull up and call 870-777-3640 and someone will bring it out to you. Staff will work normal business hours, so you may call or email [email protected] if you need assistance.

Schools
Hope Public School District, Spring Hill Public School District, Blevins Public School District, Garrett Memorial Christian School, First United Methodist Church Preschool and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana have all suspended classes until April 17, 2020.

Retail
Stage Stores: Effective March 18, 2002, Stage Stores announced adjusted store hours:
Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 12pm-6pm

Main Street Cleaners: Hours have been adjusted to close at 4:00 pm. The building has been closed to the public and service will be conducted by DRIVE THRU ONLY

Randy's Collision Center: Effective March 20, Randy's Collision Center has closed the office and will be open for appointment only. They are still able to accomodate any repairs. Please call 870-777-9138 or 870-777-5498

Sherwin Williams: Sherwin Williams store has been closed to the publice. Curbside Assistance is available. Please knock on the front door, or call

Hair Salons:
Ginger’s Hair Salon: Effective Monday, March 23 Ginger’s will be closed with a tentative re-open date of April 17. They will still be available if you would like to purchase hair products or gift certificates.
