SWARK.Today is proud to welcome April Lovette as a new member to our team. Lovette is joining us as a community reporter, covering local events within Hempstead and Nevada Counties. Lovette graduated from Henderson State University in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in English and in 2004 with a Master's Degree in Education. She worked at Hope High School as an English teacher and an Instructional Facilitator for ten years. Lovette has extensive experience in leadership as well as writing and we are excited to have her on board.

Jim Hawley, President of SWARK.Today is especially pleased to welcome Lovette to the team. "I am delighted that we were able to find someone local with writing experience to join our team. Lovette brings a fresh eye, a vibrant energy and plenty of talent to the table. She certainly fits the vision of our company to bring the news to our community accurately and efficiently," he said.

Bren Yocom, General Manager, is also enthusiastic about bringing Lovette on board. "I am extremely excited to have April become a part of our company. Her knowledge of English, ability to write and leadership background makes her a perfect fit for SWARK.Today. She is very eager to learn about all the new exciting things happening in our community, as well as getting to know the people that make those things possible. She has amazing ideas that will help us continue our mission in being even more productive in bringing Hempstead and Nevada Counties breaking news more proficiently," she said.

Be on the lookout for April at your community coffees, ribbon cuttings and other community events. Help us welcome her to the team!
