A still from Mae Estes' "Thinkin' Bout Cheatin" video released last May.
Hope native and country singer-songwriter
Mae Estes will have her debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage this coming Saturday, March 4. The show starts at 7:00 p.m.
Asked how she’s faring entering the last week of rehearsals and preparations, Estes said, “It’s a dream come true that still doesn’t feel real. The entire state of Arkansas is coming to town, it feels like so I’m just mostly excited to share such an incredible opportunity with my team of champions in Nashville and my family who has supported me from the first note I ever sang. I’ll be riding this high for the rest of my life. I’m unfathomably grateful to follow in the footsteps of so many of my country music heroes.”
Estes, who first appeared in public as a seven-year-old to sing the National Anthem before a rodeo, moved to Nashville after college in 2015. Since 2020, she has had a publishing contract with Plaid Flag Music. She often comes home to Hope and South Arkansas to perform, having appeared in Hope December 17 at the Hope for the Holidays Concert.
Live Saturday night performances on the Grand Ole Opry stage are streamed here, and then posted for later viewing.
