Nevada County Fair Parade signals fall on its way
The Nevada County Fair Parade rolled down Prescott's Second Street today through the growing shadows of early evening. In a sure-sign fall is coming, homecoming and pageant queens, football teams, band members and 4-H clubbers rode down the street in their best finery.  

Added Tuesday:  Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jamie Hillery announced today the winners of awards by participants in the parade in their various categories:

School Pride Floats 

1st Place Winner - $100 

- The Prescott Jr. & Sr. High School Cheerleaders. 

2nd Place Winner - $50 

- Homecoming Queen Caytlee Poole 

3rd Place Winner - $25 

- Senior Maid Carlee Glass
