LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced today that she will name Iverson Jackson as the executive director of the Fair Housing Commission.

“I am pleased to announce that Iverson Jackson will serve as the executive director of the Fair Housing Commission,” Sanders said. “Iverson – a pastor and retired Army colonel – is a strong leader who shares my compassionate vision to empower Arkansans with greater opportunity and prosperity, making him a clear choice for the position. I am confident that he will work with Inspector General Allison Bragg to promote fair housing access for all Arkansans.”

Iverson Jackson Bio:

Iverson Jackson is the senior pastor of Zoe Bible Church in Little Rock, Ark. He received his bachelor’s in business administration in 1985 from Southern Arkansas University, and his master’s degree in public administration from Webster University. He served 25 years in the United States Army Reserves and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel on December 16, 2008.

Pastor Jackson currently serves as the Chairman of the African American Coalition of Arkansas (AACA) of the Republican Party of Arkansas (RPA), he is a national vice-president of Ministers Taking a S.T.A.N.D (Staying True to America's National Destiny), he also serves on the Southern Arkansas University Foundation Board and locally in his community on several other boards.

He is a frequent guest speaker at colleges, churches, civic and political events, and on TV, radio, and social media platforms. His radio program, “The Life of God,” is broadcast Monday through Friday throughout central Arkansas on KJBN 1050AM. He serves in the Secretary of State’s Office as Constituent and Governmental Relations Liaison. He and Mary, his wife of more than 32 years, have three adult daughters and live in Little Rock, Ark.
