Nonprofit Hospice to Host Kids Helping Kids Charity Bake Sale
Texarkana, USA –Kids Helping Kids is pleased to announce they will host a charity bake sale on Saturday, October 26 to benefit Austin Armstrong and his quest to receive a stem cell transplant.  Austin’s rare genetic disease can only be treated with an extremely expensive stem cell transplant.  Even with insurance coverage, the family will be responsible for $15,000 upfront cost, plus travel and hotel expenses for a 6-month stay in Little Rock for treatments at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The Kids Helping Kids group, comprised of children of staff members from Hospice of Texarkana, has raised over $4,700 for various charity organizations over the last two years.  This group of young fundraisers was touched when they learned of Austin’s story and quickly planned a bake sale to help raise money for the expensive medical procedure.  These children ask the community to join together by donating to the bake sale in support of Austin’s transplant and his long road to recovery.

Help Austin and pick up a sweet treat with a small or large donation on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Hospice of Texarkana, 2407 Galleria Oaks Drive, Texarkana, TX  75503.  For more information call 903-794-4263.
