Razorback Football Adds Commitment

FAYETTEVILLE - Jermaine Hamilton-Jordan, a linebacker-defensive back at Lincoln College Prep in Kansas City, Mo., announced Sunday he has verbally committed to sign a letter of intent with the Arkansas Razorbacks for 2021.

Hamilton-Jordan, 6-1, 195, comes into his 2020 senior year at Lincoln College Prep off a 2019 junior making 150 tackles, 18 for losses, including five sacks and scoring two touchdowns. Mostly at linebacker in high school, Hamilton-Jordan is expected to move to safety at Arkansas.

Arkansas defensive coordinator and safeties coach Barry Odom, the Missouri head coach from 2016-2019, and cornerbacks coach Sam Carter, a former Missouri assistant under Odom, recruited Hamilton-Jordan from the Missouri side of Kansas City for Coach Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks

“I just love Arkansas and it’s the place for me, Hamilton-Jordan told Hogville.net. “Coach Pittman, Coach Odom and Coach Carter, they are my favorites. They are getting ready to do big things.”

Kansas, Tulsa, Kansas State, Iowa State, Akron, North Dakota State, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Washington State and Kentucky are among those reportedly who have recruited Hamilton-Jordan. Hamilton-Jordan becomes the fifth verbally committed to sign with Arkansas in the December early signing period or the February, 2021 signing period.

Previously verbally committed to Arkansas for 2021 are quarterback Landon Rogers, Little Rock Parkview; offensive lineman Terry Wells, Wynne; linebacker Marco Avant, Jonesboro, and offensive lineman Cole Carson, Bogata, Texas. Verbal commitments are non-binding until a letter of intent is signed.
