Razorbacks Close Outback Bowl Ranked 21 in Final AP Poll

FAYETTEVILLE - Following five consecutive  losing seasons under three different head coaches and one interim, the 2021 Razorbacks  closed their 9-4 Outback Bowl championship season ranked 21st in the season’s final Associated Press poll.

The Razorbacks under second-year Coach Sam Pittman accomplished their highest postseason ranking since Bobby Petrino’s 2011 Razorbacks closed the season 11-2 nationally ranked fifth.Arkansas also was ranked 21st in the final College Football Playoff poll before the bowl games and national championship game which Georgia won Monday night over Alabama.The Razorbacks finished their season New Year's Day defeating Penn State, 24-10 in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla.
