Republican Party Committee Banquet a Success
The Hempstead County Republican Committee held its annual Lincoln Day Banquet Monday night. This year the event was held at the University Of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana inside Hempstead Hall. The event started with the invocation which was addressed by Hempstead County Judge Jerry Crane, activities were headed by HCRC member Troy Lerew, the Colors were preformed under the direction of the Boy Scouts of Troop 5 of Hope.

Veterans, Police, Firefighter and First responder were recognized by committee member Ed Flagg.

Arkansas Republican Party District Director Sharon Wright was in attendance, as well as State Representative Danny Watson, who spoke on how he first met Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin and read Lt. Governor Griffin’s bio and then welcomed Griffin as the guest speaker.

Griffin spoke on several local, state and nation wide issues that the Republican party has been involved with and is moving forward on.

A live silent auction was held during the event containing items from local merchants to raise money for the republican committee.
