Possession of Marijuana

On June 27, 2020 at approximately 2:45 am, Deputy Bo Morris conducted a traffic stop on an unlicensed red Hyundai at the 30 Mile Marker West ramp of Interstate 30.

Deputy Morris made contact with the driver of the vehicle who identified himself as Quincy Leggins from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Deputy Morris observed the strong odor of marijuana coming out of his vehicle. Deputies located a small brown container between the center console and the driver seat containing a clear plastic bag which contained a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. Quincy was placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule VI

Deputies transported Quincy to the Hempstead County Sheriff Detention Facility. Upon arrival to jail, I gave Quincy a citation #201340 for his criminal violation. with a court date of August 17, 2020 at 9:00 Am.
