In Hempstead County, one election will be held for a Spring Hill School Board seat in that school district. Ron Price is running unopposed.
Also appearing on that ballot will be a yes or no vote on Spring Hill School District’s 41.8 mills property tax, but the results of that election would not decide whether the millage passes or fails. That election was already decided when the millage was increased. This information is from Hempstead County Clerk Karen Smith.
In Nevada County, a contested Prescott School Board election is being held for Zone 4. Eric Gonzales and Denise Walker are vying for that seat.
On that ballot, the Prescott School District’s 41.0 mill tax is also shown with voters choosing between yes and no to maintain it. But, as is the case in the Spring Hill election, the results would not determine whether the millage would be continued or not, since a vote in favor of the millage has already taken place. This information is from Nevada County Clerk Tammie Rose.
SWARK.Today will report the results of these elections when they are known.
