Significant Weather Advisory for Northern Hempstead and Surrounding Counties Until 1:15 A.M.
SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN HEMPSTEAD…SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD AND NORTHWESTERN NEVADA COUNTIES

UNTIL 115 AM CDT

At 1219 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Blevins to 6 miles north
of Washington to near Mineral Springs. Movement was southeast at 10
mph. Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Prescott, Mineral Springs, Emmet, Blevins, Perrytown, Tollette,
Washington, McCaskill, Ozan, Oakhaven, Boughton and Bright Star.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
