The Spring Hill High School Boys' Track Team is the 8-2A Conference Runner-Up. They pulled out all the stops Monday at the district meet in Gurdon and now 13 of these young men are headed to the state meet next week. Seven of these young men are ninth graders who, just last week, performed in their last junior high meet. Coach Greg Smith praised the team’s performance and shared with SWARK.Today the possibilities of success at the up-coming state meet. Smith said, “We are very proud of our Junior High Championship, and one week later we back it up with a Senior High Conference Runner-Up. The ninth through twelfth graders who qualified have strong chances at state to place and score points. We are very excited about the direction the track program is headed at Spring Hill High School and want to encourage everyone to get out and support the team at Gurdon next Wednesday starting with our field event of High Jump with Colin Purify at 10:30.”
