The Picket Fence, Helping to Make Cookies & Memories

Many parents are getting antsy with children at home, especially with the Easter Holiday coming up and they may be running out of creative activities to keep children occupied and happy during the COVID-19 school release.

Well, fear not, The Picket Fence in downtown Hope has got you covered. They are offering curbside "Cookie Kits" with a multitude of themes to keep children and parents occupied making memories during this period of being home bound.

The Cookie Kit includes; Easter, sports, ABC's & 123's, princess, dinosaur, spring and unicorn themes with 12-18 cookies, depending on size, 3 icing colors of your choice and sprinkles. A full box of memories for you and your household for just $25.

"We know parents are going stir crazy at home more than usual. Fun activities that families can do together bring memories that last a lifetime. I have fond memories of cooking and crafting with my mom through difficult times in my youth. I'm not saying that we will forget the hard times of COVID-19, but hopefully our children will remember being together. So many are missing birthday parties, sleep overs and spring break trips. Decorating cookies can be their personal party memories with family. Cookies, cupcakes and brownies taste yummy anytime." Elena Smillie, owner of The Picket Fence said when asked why they wanted to do this for parents and children in the community.

Smillie also added, "We will be offering the cookie boxes year round with a variety of trendy themes, not just during the Corona crisis. We've had a tremendous response and I am so glad we have such amazing local support. We will get through these hard moments together."
