FAYETTEVILLE -  Versatile Arkansas Razorbacks  sophomore Treylon Burks of Warren is one of 50-adorning the Pau Hornung  Award Watch List released Thursday in Louisville, Ky. by the Louisville Sports Commission.

The Award named for  Paul Hornung, Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer as a running back, option passer, place-kicker and kick returner, honors the collegiate athlete most impacting both on special teams and either offense or defense.

As a 2019 true freshman, Burks, 6-3, 231,  impacted as an All-Freshman SEC wide receiver and second-team All-SEC kick returner. Burks played in 11 of the 2-10 Razorbacks’ 12 games, starting his last nine, and netted a team-leading 475 receiving yards on 29 catches for a team-best 16.4 yards per catch. On reverses, Burks carried 9 times for 35 yards.

Adept at both punt returns and kickoff returns, Burks returned 10 punts for 130 yards and returned 10 kickoffs for 226 yards.

Burks’ 866 all-purpose yards was second on the team to Rakeem Boyd (1,293).  Boyd, who rushed for 1,133 yards and caught 19 passes for 160 yards, is on the Doak Walker Award watch list, the award that in December honors the nation’s best running back.
