James said she was delighted to join the market today, because she and the rest of the extension office team believed it was important to share resources and information with the community. "We, at the extension office, try to provide the community with healthy recipes of fresh products, especially those coming from our local producers this season," James said.
Also at the market today was VC Farms with a truck load of watermelons, Joshua Wood with a few new items that included a charcuterie board, Farm on the Hill with fresh beef, and Keep it Simple with soup, dip, and no-bake pie mixes. Papa's Honey was also there with honey and pollen products, as well as Salinas Farms, Arnold Farms, Hannah's Berries, Reynolds Farm, Solomon Farm, and Silvey Farms with fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables.
The Hope Farmers' Market takes place every Tuesday morning at the Hub in downtown Hope from 7am to 11am.
