Blue Jays Comeback to Beat Kirby 70-61 to Advance to Finals
Emerson- For the third time in as many weeks, the Blue Jays and Trojans squared off with a trip to the Regional Finals on the line. It was the fourth matchup of the season between the two teams, with Nevada winning the last two after Kirby won the first matchup.

Kirby came out on fire, shooting the cover off the ball, with Bo Tolleson knocking down 5 of his 6 three-pointers in the first half. Kirby held a 33-24 lead at the half, but in the second half it was Nevada who came out and turned the game around, outscoring Kirby 46-28 in the second half. Kobe Hughey turned it up in the final 12 minutes of the game, scoring a team-high 14 points to lead the Jays.

Coach Eddie Beck spoke on the Blue Jays 70-61 win, "We got off to a slow start, they shot the ball really well, had a good game plan, but our guys  continue to refuse to lose, this group has never not played in the Regional finals and they weren't going to change that now."

Hughey led the Jays with 14 points and added 6 rebounds. Monti Mixon finished the game with 12 points, 8 boards, and 5 blocks. Rico Aparicio had 12 points, including some big 3's in the 3rd quarter and Taco Roberson had 11 points and 7 rebounds. Biscuit knocked down some big FTs late in this one, finishing the game with 9 points. Keyonte Wingfield had 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Hurk Burns added 2 points and 4 rebounds.

For the Trojans, Tolleson led the way with 20 points. Tyler Hardage had 15 points, Mason Lindsey scored 12, and Gavyn Young poured in 10.

The Jays are set to tip-off against the Cougars at 7:30 in the Regional Finals.
