Bobcats Beat Badgers 3-0

Arkadelphia- The Bobcats were back on the pitch Tuesday night vs the Badgers in a conference matchup. The Bobcats slow and steadily pulled away and won the game 3-0, to set up a big time matchup with Nashville on Thursday night for the 2-seed in the state tournament.

After the game, Coach Josh Marshall spoke on the win, "Good win tonight, we came out a little sluggish, we struggled to score at times, but we got some goals in the 2nd half to pull away. Big game vs one of our rivals Thursday for the 2-seed, y'all come out and support us."

Lucas Sanchez got the scoring going in the first half for Hope, as he found the back of the net on a nice pass from Johnathan Hernandez. Lucas would score his second goal of the game, as Elliott Vazquez found him with a nice ball to make the score 2-0. The nail in the coffin was delivered by Chris Alvarado, as he made an impressive move and finished the shot to make the game 3-0.

Great defense was on display, as GK Jacob Pacheco posted another clean sheet. Great play from the defenders Gio Ruiz, Dylan Mercado, Gio Piza, Soyne Munoz, and Eddie Francisco.

Hope is back in action on Thursday night at 5pm against the Scrappers in a battle for the 2-seed in next weeks state tourney. Hope beat Nashville 2-0 earlier in the season, as they will look to complete the season sweep on Thursday.
