Bobcats Suffer First Conference Loss to DeQueen 2-1

Bobcats Suffer First Conference Loss to DeQueen 2-1
Hope- In a game where each half told a different story, it was the 2-0 hole the Bobcats dug themselves into that was too much to overcome, as they dropped a tough game to the Leopards 2-1 on Friday night, for their first conference loss of the year.

With the score 1-0, Hope had a chance at the equalizer, but could not connect and moments later DeQueen tacked on their second goal to make the game 2-0, leaving Hope with a uphill battle the remainder of the game.

The second half, Hope controlled the tempo and got on the board on a nice pass from Elliott Vazquez to Bradley Brown who found the back of the net, to make the score 2-1. A valiant effort from Hope came up just short as the time ran out.

Hope has a busy week next week with three games, and the 2nd half of conference begins on Friday. The Bobcats will get another crack at the Leopards in a few weeks, as they still control their own destiny for the conference championship.

Hope is back on the pitch Monday in Little Rock Southwest.
