HOPE, AR – The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that Buzz Andrews will be the opening act for the highly anticipated 49th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival concert on Saturday, August 9, 2025. The concert’s main event will feature the Lead Singers of Classic Rock, starring Jason Scheff, longtime singer of CHICAGO, and Tommy DeCarlo, former lead singer of BOSTON.

Buzz Andrews — the legendary performer from Hope, Arkansas, and frontman of the Zonks in the '60s — has been making music for 62 years. From classic rock to blues to country, his band will take you on an unforgettable musical journey with a mix of sounds that will cater to fans of all sorts of musical tastes.

Don’t miss out on the chance to see Buzz Andrews, a local icon who has been performing across the Dallas area for years, right here in Hope. Bring your friends and family for a night of great music and memories at the Watermelon Festival!

The Lead Singers of Classic Rock will take the stage following Andrews, delivering a powerhouse performance of legendary rock hits. Jason Scheff, who was the bassist and lead vocalist for Chicago for over 30 years, and Tommy DeCarlo, the lead singer of all Boston tours from 2008, will bring fans a night filled with iconic anthems, soaring vocals, and nostalgic rock magic.
