Hempstead County Courthouse, Road Department and Waste Department, will be closed Monday, January 20, 2025 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. 's Birthday.   Will resume regular working hours Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Hempstead County trash route for Monday, January 20, 2025 and Tuesday, January 21, 2025 will be collected on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.  Please have your trash out by 7:00 AM.
