Lady Cats End Season with 6-0 Win Over Malvern

Hope- It was Sr. Night in Hope on Friday night and the Lady Cats ended their season on a high note with a dominant 6-0 win. "Overall is was a great way to end the season, we didn't accomplish all our goals this season, but it's good to end the year with a win and start building for next year, our seniors did a great job today, we appreciate the hard work from them," Coach Edmundo Dominguez said after the win on Friday night.

Senior Crystal Ortiz got the scoring party going early on with an impressive goal to give the Lady Cats a 1-0 advantage. Madelyne Maclaughlin scored the first of her 3 goals next, as she got rolling about halfway through the opening half. Madelyne would score another goal 5 minutes before the half to give Hope a 3-0 lead at the break.

Brianna Maclaughlin scored in the first 2 minutes of the 2nd half and the rout was on. Brianna later found Reyanna Mendoza with a nice pass for Reyanna second goal in the last two weeks. The final goal of the Lady Cats season was on a free-kick from Madelyne Maclaughlin to secure the hat trick and send the fans home with a dominant 6-0 win.

That was Madelyne's 5th hat trick of the season. Brianna Maclaughlin added 2 assists and Cristal Aguilar had 1 assist. The defense was lights out and the GK play from Lucero Arroyo was great as she picked up another clean sheet.

Great way to end the season for these Lady Cats and the seniors. Big thanks to Hope floral for the roses.
