Scrapperettes Score Five Runs in the 6th Inning to Beat Lake Hamilton 7-6
Nashville- The Scrapperettes took the diamond for their season-opener vs Lake Hamilton on Monday night. Baylee Smith got the nod Nashville in the circle and had a 1-2-3 first inning. Kinley Martin led off the bottom half of the inning for the Scrapperettes with a walk, making her way to third base on a single from Elli Wallis, setting the table for Ava Brown, who got the job done by hitting a sacrifice fly to left field to get Nashville on the scoreboard. 

Lake Hamilton would get on the board the next half inning, taking a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the second. Nashville would scrape another run across the plate, making it 3-2 Lady Wolves heading into the third inning. A big fly from Lackey of Lake Hamilton in the third inning and another run in the fifth, left Nashville facing a four-run deficit entering the bottom half of the sixth. 

The Scrapperettes used a walk, a hit, mixed in with some small ball to set up a bases clearing double from Baylee Smith, getting Nashville right back in it. Brayley Lowery would drive in a run with a double and scored a couple of batters later to give the Scrapperettes a 7-6 lead. Nashville recorded the final three outs to lock down the win over Lake Hamilton. 

Baylee Smith scattered five earned runs on five hits and struck out three. Emory Wallis came in the game in relief and allowed just one run in three innings of work.

Elli Wallis had a pair of hits for Nashville and Smith finished the game with a double and three RBI. Lowery had a double and an RBI, Kinley Martin had a knock and two RBI, with Parker Tate adding a single.
