Ms. Barbara Sampson, age 68 of Prescott, AR went to be with the Lord on June 29th, 2022. She was a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church of Nubbin Hill. Â
Barbara was born August 15, 1953 to D.S. and Mildred Hill in Gold Beach, Oregon. She worked as a CNA and was a loving caregiver to family members and friends over her lifetime. Â
She is preceded in death by her parents, D.S. and Mildred Hill; one sister, Betty Louise Hill; and two sons, George Sampson and Jeffery Sampson. Â
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James Sampson (Kelli) of Natchitoches, LA; a brother, Eugene Hill (Ruth) of Gaithersburg, MD; her three grandchildren, J.D. Sampson (Amanda) of Conway, AR; Shelbi Sampson and Lily Sampson of Natchitoches, LA; her great-granddaughter, she dearly loved, Riley Sampson of Conway, AR; and her niece Michelle Fountain (Carl) of South Carolina.  Â
Barbara was special to her family and friends and will be remembered for her kind, faithful spirit. She enjoyed planting flowers, baking sweets, and bragging on her grandchildren and great grand! Always thoughtful, she was a dependable friend who put others needs first. She maintained that sweet, faithful spirit throughout her cancer diagnosis and illness, befriending and encouraging her family, caregivers and nurses who cared for her. She will be deeply missed.  Â
Visitation will be held at Herndon-Fuqua in Prescott, AR on July 2nd at 10:00am with funeral services to follow at 11:00am with Bro. Jarod Hendry officiating. Burial to follow at Antione Cemetery in Delight, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Â
Romans 14:8-For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Â
