“Dooda”
It was Monday, December 29, 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia when Bernard McCarthur and the late Keisha Cooley welcomed a handsome baby boy named Bernard Damian McCarthur. Bernard, also known as Dooda, attended Hope High School with the Class of 2017 in Hope, Arkansas. He played football, loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Bernard will always be remembered for his joyful, loving and playful personality. He loved kids, was very thoughtful, giving, and loyal to others. He also showed the upmost respect and care for his elders.
At age 24 on Sunday, April 10, 2022 our beloved Bernard went to be with his Heavenly Father. He will forever be deeply missed by his loved ones.
Bernard was preceded in death by his mother, Keisha Denise Ann Cooley, and his grandfather Bernard McCarthur Sr.
Those remaining to cherish his loving memories are: his father, Bernard McCarthur; brothers, Tony Walker, Ladon McCarthur, Armani McCarthur, and Aston Turner; sisters, Keanna Ross, Jaquanna Watson, Aysha Irving, and Alayshia McCarthur; grandmothers, Debbie Cooley Nard and Debbie McCarthur; grandfather, Bernard Jones and his wife; special friend, Jasmine Griffin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, god brothers and sisters, step brothers and sisters, and friends.
