Charles Avery “Hippie” Hull

Charles Avery “Hippie” Hull, 54, passed away from this life on Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home with his wife and son, in Emmet, Arkansas.

​Hippie was born in Hawthorne, California on December 2, 1968. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Gorman and father, Kenneth Gunter, son Zachariah A. Hull and grandfather, Hulet “Red” Gunter, all of N. Little Rock, Arkansas, and his uncle Terry Gorman, also two brothers, Robbie Dale Richardson, and Thomas “Scooter” Rettstatt Jr.

​Hippie left behind his wife of 17 years, Rebecca Hull of Emmet, Arkansas, his son’s Jehrico Hull and wife Abigail, of Rogers, Arkansas, Brandon Hull of Emmet, Arkansas, stepson, James Payne, and wife Deanna of Hope Arkansas. Also left to mourn his loss, his brother, Johnny Hull, and wife Sharla, of Lonoke, Arkansas, his sister Brandy Straschinske of Morrilton, Arkansas, his uncles, John Michael Gorman of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Daniel T. Gorman of Portland, Oregon, his aunt Jeanne Stewart and husband Drew of Spokane, Washington. His angels that he loved so much, his granddaughters, Lydia and Freya Hull of Rogers, Arkansas. He had many nieces and nephews from far and wide, Christy Rettstatt, Stacey Johnson, Megan and Brooklyn Richardson of N. Little Rock, Arkansas, Ethan and Nevaeh Straschinske of Morrilton, Arkansas; Hunter, Nathaniel, Bentley, and Emillie Stoffer of Emmet, Arkansas, Leslie Standridge of Anchorage, Alaska, Lucas Standridge of Prescott, Arkansas and Joseph Standridge of Moyers, Oklahomaand all his crazy sisters-in-law, Teresa Stoffer of Emmet, Arkansas, Jennifer Wilson and husband Brandon of McAlister, Oklahoma and Stormi and Madison Freeman of Antlers, Oklahoma. Also, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles, and Tracy Ditzler, of Emmet, Arkansas.

​He also had a collection of special friends, Aaron Case, and wife Hope, of Emmet, Arkansas and all their babies, Starla, Zoie, Aaron Jr., Paisley, and Bowen, and to many more to name. 

​He had a very extended family that loved him very much, no matter how ridiculous he was, they loved him anyway. He was one of a kind and no one will ever be able to replace him. He will be missed beyond words. 

​There will be no funeral or burial services. His wishes were made very clear and are being carried out accordingly. His cremation has been performed by Tri-State Crematory of Texarkana, Arkansas and there will be a memorial service to take place at the First Baptist Church in Emmet, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Services to be conducted by Bro. Marcus Crawley and there will special singing in his memory as well as finger foods to follow.
