Garland Wayne Cooper Jr., age 49, of Blevins, Arkansas passed away on April 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

Mr. Cooper was born on October 31, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana to his parents Garland Sr. and Mary Evelyn Cooper. He served as a law enforcement officer for Hempstead County for 10 years. He had a love for taxidermy and hunting, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Tammy Fuentes and Madeline Dison. 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20 years, Tammy Cooper; children, Ashley Cooper of Nashville, Arkansas, Brandy Aparicio (Zacarias) of Nashville, Arkansas, Alexis Campbell (Mason) of McCaskill, Arkansas, Brittney Cooper of Blevins, Arkansas, Kaden Kemp of Blevins, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Ava Grace Aparicio, Adelynn Campbell, Haley Aparicio, Seth Campbell; mother-in-law, Carolyn Diann Scott; two sisters, Jeannie Cooper (Eric) of Crevecoeur, Illinois, Jennifer Cooper (Fiancé Jonathan Campbell) of Kenner, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
