Mr. James Larry Powell, age 79 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday August 24, 2023, at his home in Hope. He was born on December 19, 1943, to Verdo and Louise Odell Powell. 

He was a retired poultry farmer and is preceded in death by his parents, son Nathen Powell, brother Frankie Powell, sister Litta Turner, sister-in-law Brenda Powell, and brother-in-law Reggie Turner.

Surviving him is his friend of many years, Janice Quillin, two brothers Terry Powell and Mack Powell (Sandra), sister Claudine Teague (Randy), sister-in-law Retha Powell, and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Thursday August 31, 2023, at 9:00 AM at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel, 1001 South Main St Hope, AR 71801. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM with Bro. Kenneth Bobo and Bro. Scott Jackson officiating, following with burial in Martin Cemetery, Spring Hill AR.
