Jim Cross, 79, of Rosston, AR passed away quietly in his sleep with his wife beside him. Jim was born January 4, 1943 to Clifton Cross and Mary Glass Cross in Rosston, AR.
Jim and Eddie Jane were blessed with 56 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was a beautiful example of a love that was apparent to all who knew them.
In June, Jim celebrated 58 years in the ministry. During this time, he pastored 5 churches in our area.
Mr. Cross also served as Emergency Management Coordinator under 4 county Judges over the years. In this capacity, he rendered aid, both spiritual and physical to many people hurting, in need, or devasted by tragedy all from a heart of gold.
Jim considered his family to be his greatest blessing in this life. He took great comfort in knowing that each member of his immediate family has accepted Christ as their personal Savior thus, to be together forever.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Mary Cross and brother Ray Cross.
Jim is survived by his wife, Eddie Jane Cross of Rosston; son, Edd (LaDonna) Cross of Rosston; two grandsons, Wade (Sarah) Cross of Prescott and Dustin Cross of Rosston; two great granddaughters, Tinley and Callie Cross of Prescott; and brother Frank (Jackie) Cross of Rosston.
Visitation is scheduled 6:00-8:00pm Friday, October 14, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Morris Baptist Church with Bro. James Crain officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
