JoAnn Hammonds, 83, passed away September 15, 2022, in Lone Star, TX. 

She was born May 6, 1939, in Anniston, Alabama to Finley and Ola Burton Roland.  JoAnn was a retired restaurant owner and she loved to cook, dance, and spend time taking care of friends and family. She dedicated her life to Jesus as a small child and her faith stayed strong until the end.

Mrs. Hammonds was preceded in death parents; husband Doyle Hammonds of 34 years; three sons Curtis Greeman, David Hammonds, Johnny Hammonds; a daughter Theresa Turner.

Survivors include two sons Duane Greeman of Rochester, NY, Mark Hammonds and wife Katia of Crestview, FL; two daughters Donna Brashear and husband Rick of Richland, MO, Debbie Haltom and husband Steve of Lone Star, TX; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a son-in-law BJ Turner; a daughter-in-law Wendy Hammonds; numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, 1:00pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.  Chapel services will follow at 3:00pm.  Burial will be at Marlbrook Cemetery in Blevins, AR, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
