John Cody Davis

John Cody Davis

John Cody Davis was born on July 25, 1983 in Durant, Oklahoma to Johnny Davis and Glenda Foster Dagenhart. Mr. Davis died on February 9, 2021 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was 37 years old at the time. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Bill and Onie Mae Davis of Lewisville, AR and Bill and Daffner Foster of Wright City, Oklahoma, Larry Carman of Blevins, Arkansas and one uncle; Gene Davis of Lewisville, Arkansas; two aunts; Carolyn Matthews of Conway, Missouri and Sandy Friday of Texarkana, Texas.

Cody leaves behind his parents; Johnny Davis and Michawn of Prescott, Arkansas; Glenda Dagenhart of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one grandmother Ethel Harman of Hope, Arkansas; one brother Kelly Davis and Emily of Blevins, Arkansas; one sister Elizabeth Davis and Aaron Hampton of Maumelle, Arkansas; two nieces Logan Cox of Blevins, Arkansas; Rozlynn Hampton of Maumelle, Arkansas and one nephew and best friend Gunner Davis of Blevins, Arkansas; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from all over the world.

Cody was a passionate, opinionated, generous man that loved his family and friends with all that he had. Cody loved to have conversations and if he called you better have some time to talk. His daily calls to his dad and brother were welcomed and laughter was always expected with an I love you at the end. Cody enjoyed a good debate about anything, and you better know he was going to win the debate before it was over. He was a pipeliner in profession and skilled as both a welder and electrician. Cody loved working pipeline and making friends around the world as he traveled for jobs. His many travels gave him life experiences and sights to see but his favorite place to be was home with family. He’d spend his time off traveling around Southwest Arkansas seeing old friends and family, all while acquiring old Dodge trucks, and different odd and end treasures that he loved to collect for himself, his brother Kelly and his nephew Gunner. If Cody was home, he had Gunner in tow with him and better believe they’d eat breakfast or lunch at the Hornet Hut in Blevins. He loved to visit and spend time with his nieces Logan and Rozlynn, they were the apple of his eye and he loved to spoil them rotten, plus you better not mess with any of Uncle Cody’s babies or you’d have to deal with him. He loved the girls of his life, and his baby sister Elizabeth aka Tator, he took on the role as her protector along with his brother Kelly. They spent many times riding trails and backroads looking for adventure, all while making memories and loving life. Cody never met a stranger, he loved people and always took care of the ones he loved. He was a light that shined bright on this Earth.
