Karin June McCorkle of Hope passed away June 1, 2021, in Hope, AR.

Karin was born September 13, 1934, in Waldo, AR to Arnold and Pearl Odom Tompkins. 

Mrs. McCorkle was a member of the Unity Baptist Church of Hope. Karin June had a special ministry in serving her church and her Savior by sending birthday cards, anniversary cards and greeting cards. She mailed thousands of “Get Well”, “Praying for You” and “Encouragement” cards that touched the lives of many friends and family for many years.  No doubt she was a spiritual blessing to those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband James Dean McCorkle; one brother Bobby Tompkins; three sisters Ressie Huckabee, Elsie May Allison, and Vera Jackson.

Survivors include two sons Billy McCorkle (Kathy), Mike McCorkle (Marsha); one daughter Brenda Zies; grandchildren Donna Coleman (Michael) Brock McCorkle (Kimberly), Leigh Ann Shockley (Brett), Melanie Ellwanger (Jamie), and David McCorkle; step-grandchildren Neal Impson, Emily Impson, Dustin Impson, Dexter Boyce (Niki), and Amanda Almanda (Clint); fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday June 4, 2021, at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.

Graveside funeral service will follow visitation at 3:30pm on at Huckabee Cemetery with Bro. Nick Flowers officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
