Larry Wayne Patterson (Goober), 64 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday April 26, 2024 at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 12, 1959 in Orange, Texas to Paul Patterson and Iris Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Patterson.

Larry is survived by his wife of 17 years Tammy Patterson, one son Derek Zumwalt of Blevins, Step-father Dave Rose of Perrytown, three sisters Terry Bebee of Saratoga, Sherry Prejean of Hope, and Kerry Carrico of Perrytown, one stepson James Cowart of Lufkin and one step grandson Asher Cowart of Lufkin, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Larry was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a retired over the road truck driver, as well as a former employee of Best Western in Hope. Larry loved his dogs Candy, Blue and Bella.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Jerry Crane for all of his support with the service, many visits and lots of prayers. His kindness and comforting words were such a blessing to the family.
