LaShaba Davis-Burton
A beautiful baby girl named LaShaba D. Davis was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1977 to Glenn Gulley and LaMelda Davis in Amarillo, Texas. LaShaba attended schools in Hope, Arkansas and she obtained her high school diploma from Red River Tech. She proved to be a kind, loving and beautiful person over the years. LaShaba went on to college to study business administration at North Central Texas College in Denton, Texas.
She later met and married Fredrick Burton in 2001, and to the union five children were born plus one bonus child. Overall, she loved taking care of people and often volunteered at Life House Ministries in Hope, AR.
At 44 years old, LaShaba left this world suddenly on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at her home in Washington, AR. She was a caring wife, homemaker, mother, sister, and friend. She will remain in our hearts forever.
LaShaba is survived by her parents: LaMelda (Jackson) Davis-Carey and Glenn (Sandra) Gulley; children, Shakerra, Triston, Jaelynn, Fredrick Jr., Jakeelia, and the niece she raised Chamyria, all of Washington, AR; siblings, Keebie Jackson of Newport, AR, Jason (Sheka) Gulley, Quincy, and Shannon, all of Denton, TX; mother-in-love, Elnora “Sugar” Palmer; in-laws, Sandra Hopson, Yvonne Haney, Letitia Renee, Sylvia Hopson, James Burton Jr., Demetrius Dixon, Sharonette Y. Burton, Chundra Gill; and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.
