Nakhia “Nikki” Booker
Nakhia Javon Booker was born on December 19, 2002, in Texarkana, Texas, to James and Nannette Booker. She was affectionately known as Nikki, Nik, and Tuda Buda. She passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 21. Nakhia’s life was filled with love and a vibrant spirit that resonated with those fortunate enough to know her.
Nakhia was a graduate of Hope High School, class of 2021. She expressed interest in attending cosmetology school. She was a hard worker in her hometown, never giving up on what she wanted to achieve in life.
Nakhia had a contagious smile that could light up any room and a compassionate heart that touched anyone she came across. Nakhia’s positive energy was loved by many and brought joy to those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, having fun, and traveling.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her parents, James C. and Nannette Booker; sisters, Casandra Williams (Ernest Armstrong), Jessica Davidson (Phil Davidson), and Cheltzie Booker; brothers, Randy Williams and James A. Booker; nieces, Mar’Rae Martin, Laniquiana Williams, and Aria Davidson; nephews, Lavell Williams, Phillip Davidson, Robert Davidson, and Jackson Davidson; aunts, Dolly Williams, Joyce Horton, Mary Lard, Fannie Marshall, and Wanda (Jerry) Kerry; uncles, Edgar Williams, Alvin Booker, Leroy Booker, Charles Langston, and Don (Sherry) Langston; great aunt, Margie; great uncle, Eddie Langston; bonus niece, Takeela Armstrong; a host of relatives and friends; and good friends of the family, Linda Kay Jordan and Dana Knox.
