Pastor Odis Junior McKamie, 88, of Hope, AR went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was a long-time member of Harvest Baptist Church. Odis pastored at Immanuel Baptist, Hope, AR, Mt. Vernon Community Church, Bucker, AR and Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hope, AR. He, also for a number of years served the Lord in Ministry at 3 local nursing homes. Odis was employed for many years at Cox Brothers Foundry and Machine Company. 

In Odis and Ora Mae’s later years they resided at Heather Manor Nursing Center. He loved his family, his church and most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Mae McKamie, parents Olen and Odessa McKamie, grandsons David E. McKamie, Jr and Shannon Wayne McKamie.

Survivors include David McKamie (Sandy) of Midland, FL, Odis D McKamie (Myrtle) of Hope, AR, Gerrie D Morton (Dan) of Ft. Smith, Lisa Pauley (Tommy) of Bauxite, AR, Michael McKamie of Perrytown, AR; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren;siblings Onis Cash of Rosston, Oliver (Betty) McKamie of Hope, Opal Stoy of Hope, and Ola Jones of Hope; several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to Hospice of Texarkana and Heather Manor Nursing Home staff.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021, 6:00-8:00pm at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home of Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Joe Brown and Matt Pagels officiating.  Interment will follow at Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in Bodcaw, AR; under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
