Sister Shyeveki Nicole Mack was born on Monday, February 22, 1988 in Texarkana, Texas to the parentage of James and Lesia Mack. Being the baby and only girl of the family, the word “spoiled” took on a new meaning. Shy was our precious baby. She attended both Arkansas High School and Hope High School, graduating from Hope High School in Hope, Arkansas with the class of 2006. After graduation she attended National Park College in Hot Springs, AR. Upon returning home, she became a member of the Rainbow of Challenge (ROC) family. It was there that Shy met many friends and served a vast capacity in different jobs. Her last position was being a part of the Melon Patch family, where she was loved by everyone who entered the doors for lunch.
One of her biggest accomplishments during her time at ROC occurred when she met and fell in love with Nathan Sims. He remained by her side until that fateful Wednesday morning on September 21, 2022. They shared a bond that couldn’t be broken. Most of all, we can’t forget the furry baby they shared named Princess, their pug dog.
The final pages of this earthly life were written on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, while in her 34th season. At her residence, Shy answered the call that no one can refuse and passed from this world into eternity. She was preceded in death by a loving brother, Kashannon Willis; a devoted aunt, Rose Lacy; grandparents, Roy Layton, Doris Griffin, Eldora Willis, Oscar Webster, Charlie Daniels, Grover Mack Sr. and Cleaster Mack; and numerous other relatives.
Because love is far greater than death, Shyeveki departs this earth in body only. Shy leaves in God’s care the following loved ones: her loving mother and stepfather, Lesia (Tyrone) Owens of Hope, AR; father, James Mack of Texarkana, TX; brother Benjamin Henderson of Texarkana, AR; boyfriend of 15 years, Nathan Sims; three nieces; six nephews; 13 aunts, Gladystine (Charles) Nelson, Brenda Daniels, Jacqueline (Calvin) Boyce, Patricia Williams, Annette Daniels, Carolyn Tucker, Wanda Jean (Willie) Daniels, Donna (Tony) Denman, LaBretha Webster, Velinda (Donald) Turner, Louise Burton, Donna Mack, Brenda Mack; five uncles, Travis (Gerta) Matthews, Charles (Jean) Henderson, Fredrick Daniels, Michael Daniels and Steve Daniels; three very special ladies, Edith Caldwell, Lesia Smith and Evleylee Lindsey-Browner; three special sisters, Nedra Smith, Kimberly Caldwell and Miesha Lindsey; special niece, Suga Mama; special brother, Neco Smith; special cousins, Frank (Bobbie) Witherspoon and Evelyn (Billy) Porter; special friends, Mary Hammonds and Valene Hendrix; and last but not least the Rainbow of Challenge family; and numerous relatives and friends.
