Waunzelle P. Petre passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Little Rock. Waunzelle was born March 10, 1939 to Marvin Powell and Frances Houston Powell in Hope. Waunzelle retired as a court reporter. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Waunzelle is preceded by her husband, Kenneth Petre; parents; and a brother, Wendell Powell.

Waunzelle is survived by two daughters, Debbye Petre and Donna DeLoach of Sherwood, Arkansas; two sisters, Carolyn (Butch) Fant and Edith May of Hope; two grandsons, Craig (Tiara) Pafford and Kenneth Petre of Sherwood; and one great-grandchild, Rowan Pafford of Sherwood.

Visitation is scheduled 9:00-10:30am Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Hope. Graveside service following at 11:00am at White Oak Grove Cemetery in DeAnn with Rev. Curtis Bobo officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
