PRESS RELEASE

In 2018 the Hempstead County Bicentennial Committee raised funds to place markers in fifteen of the communities of Hempstead County that provide a brief history of their establishment and importance.

A marker for the city of Blevins will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 1 at 7pm beside City Hall at the main intersection of town. Everyone is welcome.

Blevins, Arkansas was incorporated on September 10, 1914 as a community in the northeast corner of Hempstead County. The markers are funded by support from the Hempstead County Bicentennial Committee and the Hempstead County Historical Society.
