Blevins VFD entertains the community with fireworks display
The night sky was bright and the air filled with excitement as the Blevins Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) put on a free fireworks show for the community tonight. The dazzling display wasn’t the only draw of the night though, since BVFD also provided free hot dogs and drinks to any local citizens who wanted to eat and have fellowship before the main event.

Nykkan Staten, age nine, said he loved attending the annual event because “it’s fun just to watch.”

Jacquelin Olguin, age 12 and in town from Russellville to visit family, said she really enjoyed “the food and tea.”

Alex Pendergraft, age 11, summed it up nicely when she said she liked “all of it, the whole thing.”

The kiddos were not disappointed either as they, and parents too, could be seen watching the show intently. As the show concluded and guests headed back to their vehicles, more than one youngster could be heard saying, “That was so cool!” A top-notch endorsement if there ever was one.
