Bobcats and Lady Cats Compete at Conference

Hope Xc Bobcats Xc Lady Cats Xc Aniell Felipe Madelyne Maclaughlin

Texarkana- The Bobcat XC team could have very well ran their best as a group all season Monday when it mattered the most. Aniell Felipe was very impressive as he finished in 3rd place, edging out teammate Brian Jimenez who came in 4th place. Alex Brand is getting healthy and ran in 7th place, to make it 3 Bobcats in the Top-10. Freshman Nathan Sanchez ran 12th and Kevin Lazano was 14th. As a team the Bobcats XC squad finished in second behind DeQueen.

The Lady Cats XC team was paced by Madelyne Maclaughlin as she continues to run well week in and week out, Madelyne finished in 7th place. Brianna Maclaughlin finished 14th as she has impressively been at the top of the pack in every race this season. Sophia Johnson, Esmeralda Leon, and Brency Cabriales each finished in the top-20 to round out the Lady Cats top-5 runners.

Madelyne Maclaughlin and Brianna Maclaughlin each were named to the All-Conference Team. Aniell Felipe, Brian Jimenez, Alex Brand, Nathan Sanchez, and Kevin Lazano were all five named to All-Conference for the Boys side. You can find the Hope XC squad at the State Meet in Hot Springs next Thursday.
